Thanks Robert. And... I have two questions for you: 1. At what point would you say that spending time with AI is a serious waste of time and human potential? What other human activities are not happening in all that time? 2. How do you see the relationship between the use of AI and the developmental possibility of living, individual (spirit filled?) intuition?
Hi Signe, thanks for your thoughts! 1. I think the potential of waste or usefulness of AI is in how we use it, not in AI itself. Generally currently in humanity we aren't really thinking much, we are just complying with platitudes. If we become interested in actually thinking for ourselves, and if we use AI for this, it is a benefit. If we use AI only to amuse ourselves or to confirm our platitudes, then, indeed it is a waste of time. 2. In this sense AI is neutral - it will neither give us a sense of our own spirit nor take that away from us. There is no spirit nor anti-spirit in AI, there is only a data base. Yet, how human beings use AI indeed brings or diminishes a sense of spirit. This is true both in how we use it and also in how it is configured by human beings in the algorithms. Hope these replies are helpful. Thanks again for your thoughts!
now if we can only get all the AI systems to answer when they are asked the question of how to use AI to reference this post, then we will be in better shape. Thanks for writing this, Robert
